I take mental health issues with the utmost seriousness. I don’t speak in the name of anyone but myself. The issues portrayed in Wolf Moon are issues portrayed not as textbook and not generalized, but based on my opinions, views, or reactions. Not two experiences are identical, and not two individuals survive through them in the same manner.
If you ever find yourself in any of the situations depicted, please find help. You are not alone.
The following sensitive subjects are touched in the book, either by mention or graphic depiction, and I’ve done my absolute best to treat them with the sensibility and care these subjects deserve.
Wolf Moon has the following trigger warnings (list not exhaustive as book still in progress):
Mentions:
- cheating (not between MCs)
- death
- death of a loved one
- bullying
- emotional and physical abuse
- abusive relationships
- starvation
Graphic:
- Assault
- Attempted murder
- Death
- Physical Assault
- Biting, Marking
- Wolf attacks
- Profanity
- Sexually explicit scenes
A brief... phonetical introduction to Hollow Forest.
If you got as far as reading my bio, then you know I'm Transylvanian. Transylvania, well, Romania in general, has beautiful folklore, full of different creatures and legends. Everyone knows by now of the Romanian Vampires. Who hasn't heard of Vlad?
(And the hill I'm dying on is that Vlad was not a vampire. He was a vampire HUNTER. Why all the wooden stakes otherwise?)
So, to honor my roots, Hollow Forest has a bit of a foundation on Transylvanian lore and traditions, as well as some names and phrases in Romanian.
Although for the phrases I've done my best to make the meaning clear in the book, I figured it would be nice for all of you to have the meaning of the names (and phrases) and the phonetics of it here. Just in case you're curious of how I call them in my head.
